Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar

There are tens of urban legends out there and the Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar is said to be one of the more reliable way of unempirical sex forecast.

The Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar History

The myth says that a certain Chinese scientist created the Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar some 700 years ago, as a way of assisting a woman conceiving to forecast her baby’s gender. Now, the original calendar is in the safe keeping in the Institute of Science in Peking. But looking back, the Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar originated in a Royal tomb in Peking, China’s area.

How the Chinese Calendar Works

Here’s how it works, the above chart is a sample of what a Chinese calendar looks like. The numbers on the left side characterizes the age of the mother at the time she got pregnant. The months at the top signifies the month when the mother got impregnated. Following the pattern, diagonally and vertically to where the age and month intersect, the mother will find either a box specifying a B for boy or a G for girl. For instance, if a 32-year-old woman conceived in February, her baby would be a girl.

Accuracy

Expectedly, the Chinese Lunar Calendar should be 99 percent sure. However, there are no further instructions provided on how the calendar works for calculating the sexes of multiples.

  • A 140 or over heartbeat indicates a girl and under 140 is a boy.
  • If a mother craves for sweets, it means a baby girl should be expected
  • If a baby is carried low, it mean a boy but if carried high it means a girl
  • A baby girl should be expected if a father is gaining weight.
