Gwen Stefani Pregnant

The famous pop singer Gwen Stfani who is 36 and her husband Gavin Rossdale who is in a rock band have announced publicly that she is pregnant. It is their first child and Gwen is really excited about it. She made the announcement while performing in Ft. Laudredale, Florida in 2005. She became very emotional as it was her last U.S. tour stop and she announced loudly that “I want you to say it loud enough so the baby hears it.”

Gwen was born on 3rd October 1969. She is not only an American singer but also a fashion designer. She started her career with the rock band No Doubt where she met her husband Gavin for the first time. She started with the brand L.A.M.B in 2003 and gradually went on expanding the same by 2005. She is always accompanied with four back up dancers who are called Harajuku Girls.

Gavin was not very keen on making the announcement publicly as he wanted to keep it a secret. But things don’t work the same for Gwen. She was very happy and wanted her fans also to pray for the well being of the baby. So she chooses the concert to make the announcement publicly.

A history on how the couple met

They first met in the year 1995 when No Doubt was opened for Bush and he was on his Sixteen Stone Tour. They were very good friends initially and started to flirt with each other. They enjoyed a long courtship period say almost of eight years. Finally they decided to marry each other in the year 2002. The marriage was first held at St. Paul's Church in London's Covent Garden which is in U.K. and two weeks later the same thing happened at Los Angeles.

Soon after the marriage Gwen wished to start her family. She loved kids and wanted to have one very soon. They are eagerly waiting for the baby’s arrival. It is said that the baby is expected in June 2006. Gwen is going mad with the shopping. She wants her baby to have everything and has started decorating her room. This would be Gwen’s first child but Gavin already have a teenage daughter from Pearl Lowe who is a fashion designer. Gavin’s father and mother are really excited of becoming grandparents again.

Gwen has changed her dressing completely and is mostly seen in halter necks tops with a formal trousers combination. Gwen and Gavin were working together on No Doubt but in 2004 she got split and wanted to do something in solo. She released her first solo album Love, Angel, Music, Baby and it got nominated for the five Grammy’s award. The sales were tremendous and from then she started climbing the ladder of success.

Gwen is very clear of taking break for some few years until the baby is matured enough. But Gavin has some other plans for the baby and would like the baby to travel along with him which would make Gwen’s career a bit relaxed.
