Most mothers are worried about shedding their baby weight. Most pregnant women are worried about what would having a baby do to their figure. Will they ever look the same? Will their husbands love them the same as they used to before the baby? These and a lot other questions keep them worried. And in that, seeing pictures of pregnant models or model mothers creates further anxiety.

However, pregnant models are in a class of their own. They tend to somehow come back to their original figures which normal women struggle to do. They tend to look a lot more slim post their pregnancy and are difficult to make out as to whether they ever were pregnant. This creates a lot of questions in the minds of ordinary women and they tend to adopt some short cuts to looking the same after pregnancy. However, such short cuts can be very harmful in the long run and detrimental to both the mother and the baby.

It is important to understand the reasons as to why pregnant models look the same so as to gauge the true picture.

  • Models enter their profession because of the amazing figure which they are blessed with because of their genes. The same genes help them to get back into shape post pregnancy. The key reason for this is the metabolism in models is normally very high which helps them stay fit
  • Models have their bread and butter based on how they look and it is this requirement which gives them the drive to get back into shape post pregnancy. They need to because that’s what they live on!
  • Models have access to expert nutritionists and dieticians who provide them the necessary guidance and advice on how to get back into the right shape. These experts charge exorbitant fees for their proven results but such fees are not affordable to the ordinary women
  • It is easy for models to have grannies to look after their baby that gives them the necessary time to look after themselves and look fit.
  • Finally most of the photos that we see in magazines are modified using computer technology which make the photos very attractive and without any flaw. This technique gets used more often on models post their pregnancy and it is never easy to spot stretch marks on such photos!

Getting back into shape post pregnancy is important but it should be done in the right way and without getting too anxious of looking like the way a model would after pregnancy. Eating simple healthy meals with less oils and fats help a lot to get back into shape. Avoid the temptation to eat junk food. It is better to eat small meals five to six times a day then eat two or three heavy meals. Exercise every day with proper guidance. Such simple techniques go a long way rather than using techniques that give immediate impact but harm in the long run.
